OTHER STUFF
Elisabeth has a lot of other stuff* to share, too.
Midrashic sermons, podcast episodes, stories.
She’s courageously tried her hand, voice and heart at all kinds of media to share her vision of God’s Dream in the world, and how we can participate in it. Click around and be inspired!
(Oh, and, as it should be stated somewhere, using her stuff without her express permission is an egregious sin, meriting an uncomfortable spell in close proximity to slack-jawed crocodiles. For copyright information, and permission forms, come back soon, and we’ll have it uploaded for you.)
Lydian Welcome: Praying at the River’s Edge
On May 15, 2025, the Cedar Park United community of faith welcomed new members by affirmation of faith and by child-dedication–what greater affirmation of a faithful future held safe in the hands of God can we have?
As Rev. Dr. Elisabeth Jones put it in her midrashic reflection on Lydia, one of the pivotal “matriarchs” of Christian life and witness, these new members are “rich purple cloth to add to the tapestry of this community’s Gospel story.”
Distilled to essence: Parting words of joy and encouragement from Rev. Dr. Elisabeth Jones
In May of 2025, the week leading up to her last Sunday with the community of Cedar Park United, Rev. Elisabeth met with Ernie Bauer, teacher and member of Cedar Park United, for a beautiful 90-minute conversation about resistant joy, generosity, the Holy Spirit at work, and the role of progressive Christianity in this very complex time.
A Make-Do Christmas
A "pandemic-era" video for all ages, telling the Christmas story with whatever we have at hand.
Written and presented by Rev. Dr. Elisabeth R. Jones of Cedar Park United, Pointe-Claire, Quebec.
